ACT boys defeat Queensland
The ACT u16 boys team registered their first win of the championship, with a 22:19 victory over Queensland today.
The teams exchanged goals for most of the game but decisive goals by Nikola Taneski and Matt Cechet, late in the second half, put the game beyond doubt.
For Queensland Stephen McArthy top scored for his team with 8 goals but ACT’s Matt Cechet had another strong game in attack with 12 goals, despite being heavily marked.
ACT and Queensland will meet again tomorrow morning for a spot in the main final against NSW.
