Australia to take on Turkey in Gallipoli

Three nations handball tournament in Turkey

The Australian men’s handball team is set to take on Turkey and New Zealand, next year in Gallipoli, in a three-nations tournament to commemorate ANZAC day.

Australian Handball Federation president, Mr Paul Smith, came to the agreement with his Turkish counterpart, Mr Tarik Cengiz, at the recent International Handball Federation Congress in Egypt.

Three matches will be played, culminating in the final game between Australia and Turkey on Anzac Day.

This will be Australia’s first ever game against Turkey at the senior men’s level.
