National Championships schedule released
The schedule for the upcoming annual National Championships, in the open category, has been released and ACT men will open against Victoria whilst the women's team faces NSW in their opening game, on Thursday, 27 October.
NSW Handball Association is hosting the games at Olympic Park in Sydney and this year, a men's team from Wellington (New Zealand) will enter the competition to take up Western Australia's place. The teams from the West and Northern Territory will not participate this year.
In the Women's division, the AHF will be fielding a development team.
This year, all teams will play each-other once with the final play-off spots determined by the teams' placements after round-robin. The teams finishing in the first two spots will go directly into the grand final. There will also be placement matches for third and fifth positions.
