Another defeat for Canberra

Thomas Milon in attack for CanberraCanberra suffered their second league defeat, again to Sydney Uni Gold, at Olympic Park yesterday going down 33 to 31..

In similar style to the last match between the teams, Canberra couldn’t hold to their lead early in the second half and with ten minutes left in play, Uni took a five goal lead.

A late surge by Canberra narrowed the margin to one goal but Uni had the last say scoring from the left wing to seal the two goal win.

For Canberra Daniel Doering stood out in a day when many of the players found it difficult to find rhythm. 

Also for Canberra, new arrivals Thomas Milon and Gregor Oppermann made their first appearances. The players from France and Germany respectively, moved to Canberra recently and will have key roles in Canberra’s defence of the league title.
