Canberra HC will re-apply with the NSW Handball League for the 2009 season.

The club was unsure if the they would be able to replace key players who have moved on. However, an influx of new players and new lease on a handball court has meant that the team has been able to restructure and start preparations.

Canberra lost its 2007 NSW League title last year to Sydney Uni and will be looking to claim it back this year. Key new players for Canberra centre-back Zlatan Ivankovic and the return of captain Rob Lans.
