Canberra HC suffers second defeat

Canberra HC has lost its second match of the season, going down 27:17 to a strong Sydney Uni side in Sydney yesterday.

Following a lack luster defensive display against the Harbourside Titans in the season opener, Canberra HC's focus against Sydney Uni was on improving it's defense and limiting Sydney's goal count. In this endeavor Canberra were somewhat successful, holding Sydney to 14:7 at half time.

However, throughout the match Canberra was unable to gain significant momentum or penetration in attack. Sydney Uni's strong defense was augmented by an exceptional performance by goal keeper Pascal Winkler.

Taip Ramadani and Milan Slavujevic were Canberra's two most prominent goal scorers, scoring 5 and 4 goals respectively.

Local player Tom Olesen made his debut for Canberra HC, playing on the right wing.

Canberra HC will use next week's bye to lick its wounds and prepare for the June 6th double header against Hills Heat and Hills Flare on home soil, where many of the club's youngest players will make their debuts.
