Queensland girls get a win

The Queensland girls defeated the ACT team 16:3, to end the round robin part of the competition. The teams will play again tomorrow for a chance at the final, against last year’s champions NSW.

The less experienced ACT team put in a good performance but again found it difficult to score goals.

This was Queensland’s first win of the Championship after drawing with NSW yesterday.

QLD defeated ACT 16:3 (8:2)

Queensland: Heather Cooper (2 goals), Lauren Swan, Tori Ketter (2), Lucinda McAfee, Kylie Go, Amie Wieland, Anike Peters (3), Janae Cotter (3), Jorja King (1), Gemma McArthur, Michelle Heenan (4) and Amy Beths (1).

ACT: Emma Lee, Meg Taylor, Charlote Epynay (2), Sarah Carter (1), Rebecca Kinnane, Lea Luzzi, Gemma Coleman, Jessica Coleman, Courtney Brown and Hanna Dahl.
