NSW boys into the Championship final

NSW's Lachlan Skulander breaks through for one of his 6 goal, during his team's win over Queensland

The NSW boys’ team secured their spot in the Championship final, with a convincing 30:11 win, against Queensland in Canberra today.  NSW, who had no trouble overcoming ACT last night, raced-off to a 4:0 lead very early in the first half and from then on controlled the pace of the game.

Left-back Jason Lai was the team’s their highest scorer with 7 goals but centre-back Dylan Bindczus was the key player in attack, initiating set-moves and looking for scoring opportunities.

The less experienced Queensland team was better organised in defence but struggled to score at regular intervals.

Queensland will now play for the second spot in the group, against the ACT.
