Fletcher joins Canberra HC
Australia’s leading scorer at the last World Championships, Tommy Fletcher, has signed up with the Canberra Club ahead of this year’s NSW League competition. The 20 year old left-back, who normally lives in Sweden, moved to Canberra only a few days ago and has immediately started training with the club.
Tommy is also expected to represent Australia at the World Championship qualifications in New Zealand this weekend.
National team centre-back Richard Ridley will also play for Canberra this year, following a move to the capital to continue his tertiary studies. The former Hills player was one of the key players for Australia at the recent Gallipoli Tri-Nations tournament in Turkey and will be a big boost to Canberra this year.
The NSW League is due to start on 15 May.
